Dear Members of the Korean Society of Echocardiography,
As we reflect on the fruits of another year in late autumn, I cordially invite all members to the <2025 59th Korean Society of Echocardiography Autumn Scientific Conference>, which will be held over two days, November 22–23, 2025, at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul, in the late autumn season when we reflect on the year’s accomplishments.
Over the past thirty years, the Korean Society of Echocardiography has established a solid academic reputation both domestically and internationally, thanks to the dedication of our senior members and the passionate participation of all our members. However, we do not rest on these achievements. We continue to strive forward, taking steps to pioneer the future of echocardiography and strengthen international exchanges and academic leadership.
This year's scientific conference has been prepared under the slogan "Beyond Echo, Imaging Tomorrow," with the goal of opening new horizons in cardiac imaging diagnostics that can provide practical assistance in effectively diagnosing increasingly complex and diverse cardiac diseases and making treatment decisions beyond traditional echocardiography. We have organized diverse programs that will enable the sharing of the latest knowledge in echocardiography and cardiac imaging, including symposiums with international societies such as the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), Japanese Society of Echocardiography (JSE), and Asian-Pacific Association of Echocardiography (AAE), as well as joint symposiums with domestic cardiac societies including the Korean Society of Heart Failure, Korean Society of Interventional Cardiology, and Korean Heart Rhythm Society. Additionally, we will solidify fundamentals through the "Basic Echo Review Course" and highlight the creative research and academic challenges of young researchers both domestically and internationally through "Abstract" sessions and the "Young Investigator Award." Furthermore, we will continue the "Afternoon Debate" session that received great response last year with more engaging topics, and have prepared for in-depth discussions and active exchanges in rapidly developing fields such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hereditary cardiac diseases, interventional imaging, artificial intelligence, and pulmonary hypertension. As in the previous year, the final session on the first day of the conference will feature two invited guest speakers for a special lecture under the theme “Communication with Physicians.”
The annual autumn scientific conference is the Korean Society of Echocardiography's most important academic festival and a venue for scholarly exchange. I extend my deep gratitude to the academic directors and committee members who have worked hard to make this possible. I hope this scientific conference will provide practical assistance to your clinical and research activities, elevate the status of the Korean Society of Echocardiography both domestically and internationally, and serve as a meaningful event to broaden exchanges among members.
